Whether you're caring for a youth burdened by a lack of attention, the pain of abuse, the stigma of an incarcerated parent, or other debilitating family circumstances, your challenges are immense.

These are the children --- and the challenges --- our VIP Mentors embrace.  There is no need for you, or the child in your care, to continue facing these circumstances alone.

The stakes involved are simply too high.  The statistics that today's at-risk children face are staggering:  70 percent of those with a parent in prison will end up in jail themselves.*  Thirty percent of those abused will grow up to be abusive.**  Truancy, despair and low self-esteem help complete the vicious cycle.

These are the lives that our VIP Mentors help to change --- for the better.

Over the years, VIP Mentoring has learned that, without a mentor, 44 percent of children who have contact with the justice system end up returning.  With a mentor, on 7 percent go back.

In as little as two hours a week, a VIP Mentor can help alter the path of a child in your life.

VIP Mentored children are less likely to give in to the peer pressure associated with skipping school, damaging property or stealing.  They also experience fewer substance abuse and delinquency problems.
