It could be a youth burdened with the weight of poverty, the pain of abuse, the stigma of an incarcerated parent, or other debilitating family circumstances.

These are the children our VIP Mentors embrace.

If left without the benefit of positive adult role models, these at-risk children may grow up to perpetuate the very issues they suffer from today.

The statistics these children face are staggering: 70 percent of those with a parent in prison will end up in jail themselves.*  Thirty percent of those abused will grow up to be abusive.**  Truancy, despair and low self-esteem help complete the vicious cycle.

These are the lives that VIP Mentoring can help change --- but only with the financial support of people like you.

Over the years, VIP Mentoring has learned that, without a mentor, 44 percent of children who have contact with the justice system end up returning.  With a mentor, on 7 percent go back.
